Trusted Local Concrete Professionals in Nashville

Nashville is about 30 minutes from our base in Wilson, and Nash County is territory we know well since we work Rocky Mount constantly. In town it is replacement drives, walks and steps on the older streets around the courthouse. Out toward Red Oak, Momeyer and Castalia it turns rural, with long drives, shop slabs and equipment pads.

SERVING NASHVILLE FROM WILSON

Concrete work in Nashville and across Nash County

The older Nashville streets have the same story as most county-seat towns around here: thin, unreinforced concrete poured on bare ground decades ago, mature trees lifting panels, and narrow drives that were never sized for two modern vehicles. Those jobs are tear out, root and base work, and a repour that is wider and thicker than the original.

Out in the county the ground and the loads both change. Red Oak and Momeyer are farm country with productive, soft loam that has never been compacted for structural loads, so the base work under a shop pad is a bigger part of the job than the concrete. And what sits on it is heavier than anything a house slab is designed for.

LOCAL CONCRETE PROBLEMS

What we get called for most in Nashville

Original town concrete at the end of its life

Around the courthouse and the older residential streets, the walks and drives are thin, unreinforced and sitting on dirt. Freeze nights and de-icing salt have taken the surface off, and the panels have moved out of plane. Repairs on those slabs do not hold, because there is nothing structurally sound to tie into.

Farm pads built to a residential spec

Out toward Red Oak and Momeyer we replace a lot of slabs that were poured four inches for what turned out to be tractor, trailer and truck loads. Point loads punch through and the cracking spreads. Replacements go in at six inches or more with rebar over a compacted base sized to the equipment.

Long drives that channel water

Rural driveways here are long and often crowned wrong, so instead of shedding water they run it down their own length, undercut the base and take the edges out. We build in cross fall and put a culvert or a drain at the low point where the grade calls for it.

ABOUT NASHVILLE

The town we are pouring in

Nashville is the Nash County seat, a compact courthouse town a few miles west of Rocky Mount with a historic core and quiet residential streets around it. It has grown some along the 64 corridor without losing the small-town scale.

Because we are in Rocky Mount most weeks, Nashville is an easy stop for us and we are in Nash County more than almost any county except our own. That makes scheduling straightforward, including quick estimate visits.

The county spreads out into farm land toward Red Oak, Momeyer, Castalia and Spring Hope. That work is heavier and more specific: pads for equipment, floors that get washed out, drives that carry loaded trucks. We price it to the load, not to a residential standard.
